A new draft, AI: The Illusion of Understanding, is now available as a preprint on Zenodo, citable as 10.5281/zenodo.22639192, and on Academia.edu. The paper argues that John Searle’s Chinese Room no longer describes the systems it is used to judge, and that the human understanding it treats as the benchmark cannot bear that role.
Oleh Shynkarenko has opened a repository on Zenodo to give a DOI to research that has not appeared in academic journals. Texts written for conferences, turned down by journals, or belonging to no journal format at all will move there gradually. The first deposit is Metamodernism Manifesto, his most widely read essay, now citable as 10.5281/zenodo.22146759.

Oleh Shynkarenko's article on Volodymyr Zayets has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Science Fiction and Philosophy, following peer review. The piece examines Zayets' fiction in light of postmodernism and the political climate of his time. A revised version is now in preparation ahead of copyediting.
Oleh Shynkarenko's revised article, "The Syhom and the Android: Ihor Rosokhovatskyi, Philip K. Dick, and the Cold War Argument about Machine Ethics," has been resubmitted and is now under review at Science Fiction Studies, widely regarded as the field's premier academic journal.
Oleh Shynkarenko's article "Vasyl Berezhnyi: Collapse of Techno-Communism" is set to appear in Slavia, Journal for Slavic Philology, issue 3, 2026 — the oldest international journal devoted to Slavic philology, published continuously since 1921.
Oleh Shynkarenko's article on Pavlo Ostrikov's science-fiction film has been accepted for publication, in French translation, by Galaxies, the French science-fiction magazine. It is set to appear in issue 96, alongside a short story by Veronika Volynska.
